Tuesday Evenings at the MCA: Our Sonic Playground
In collaboration with Eric Leonardson’s “Field Recording and Phonography” course, and members of the Midwest Society for Acoustic Ecology (MSAE), students from Sensing the Landscape contributed a realtime audio and projection piece to the Museum Contemporary Art’s event, Tuesday Evenings at the MCA: Our Sonic Playground.
Remote Listening Project
“Sharing audio from our intimate spaces, (name of installation/project) explores the affect our soundscape has on how we experience Chicago. By streaming the sounds of the city that permeate our domestic lives into the MCA, we hope to open new dialogues on the relationship between public and private spaces, and the role of sound in our everyday lives.”
